Edward S. Kubany, Ph.D., ABPP, MBA, received a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii. Dr. Kubany is a research psychologist at the National Center for PTSD, Pacific Islands Division, (Department of Veterans Affairs). He also has a small private practice at the Behavior Therapy Clinic, in Honolulu, where he works exclusively with trauma survivors—primarily women with victimization histories of intimate partner violence and/or sexual abuse, and surviving family members of victims of sudden death. Mari McCaig, MSCP, NCC, is a certified Cognitive Trauma Therapist with 15 years of experience with the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney, City & County of Honolulu, Hawaii. Currently, she heads a unique Visitor Victim Assistance Program that provides crisis intervention and counseling for visitors who are victimized by crime or other adversity while visiting Hawaii. She works exclusively with trauma survivors involved in a broad array of criminal cases ranging from murder, sex assault, robbery, assault and negligent homicides. In her most visible public case, she was the lead counselor for the victims and surviving family members in the Xerox mass murder case. View Full Biography
